Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does “polyhedron glass” mean?
“Polyhedron” refers to a multi-faceted geometric form — in this case, hand-blown glass shaped into a faceted, prism-like body rather than a smooth bubble or globe. Each polyhedron has multiple flat faces that catch and refract light from different angles, scattering color throughout the room rather than concentrating it. The technique is rooted in mid-20th-century Italian glasswork.
Which color works for my space — amber or pink?
Amber reads warmer and more traditional — good for dining rooms, wood-paneled libraries, and warm-toned interiors with brass, walnut, or travertine. Pink is the bolder choice — best in dressing rooms, soft-feminine bedrooms, hospitality lounges, and dining rooms where the chandelier is meant to be the focal accent. Both pair equally well with the brushed gold frame.
What bulbs work best?
Candle-form LED bulbs (E12 or E14, depending on the unit shipped), 4–6W each, 2700K warm white. Clear or filament-style bulbs let warm light pass through the colored glass cleanly. LED keeps heat low — important inside a fixture clustered with hand-blown glass. Bulbs not included.
Is it dimmable?
Yes — when paired with dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible Triac or trailing-edge dimmer (sold separately). Dimming brings out deeper amber and rose tones in the glass and is recommended for dining and lounge installations.
Is the Drum Sorrento certified for North America?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
